The short version
Pike Road voted to incorporate in 1997 and has kept a rural, agricultural feel on purpose. The town has its own farm park, a natural trail open to walkers and horses, and a small historic district around the 1820s Marks House.
Most of the growth is organized around planned neighborhoods with their own town centers, lakes and trails. The town covers about 33 square miles and grew by roughly a quarter between 2020 and 2025, so if you want a house nobody has lived in yet, this is where you'll find the most choices.
Getting around
US-231, US-80, Vaughn Road and I-85. Usually 20–25 minutes to Gunter and 20–30 minutes to Maxwell, depending on which side of town you live on.
Schools
Pike Road Schools opened in 2015 and serves homes inside the town limits. The new high school campus on Wallahatchie Road opens in January 2027, and the district has a designated military liaison. A Pike Road mailing address doesn't guarantee Pike Road Schools, so check each address.
